Taj on Fifth is the vision of an experienced and passionate team with long-standing ties to the Columbus community. Together, we aim to bring you a dining experience that is distinctly modern yet delightfully traditional.

Ajay is proud to carry on his family’s legacy of bringing smiles and joy to the patrons of Columbus through great food and outstanding hospitality. His parents established Taj Mahal North Indian Cuisine, Columbus’ first Indian restaurant, in 1983 and went on to be recognized multiple times as the “Best of Columbus” in its category over its 30-year run. Rekindling that passion, Ajay is thrilled to once again bring family, friends, and the community together to create new memories at Taj on Fifth.

Deepak’s 15-year journey as a progressive Chef started in India and taken him through cruise ship world dining and award-winning Columbus-area Indian restaurants.  Deepak is excited to now put his own mark on this new venture, where his full culinary talents offer an exciting and unique menu.

Sandeep Singh and Mukesh Singh

Sandeep and Mukesh are the partnership team behind the award-winning Everest Cuisine in Worthington, Ohio. Everest has been delighting customers with their Indo-Nepali specialties since 2017.  They are excited to expand their vision for delighting the greater Columbus community with the best in traditional cuisine through the new Taj on Fifth.
